We know that Supreme Lord Krishna appeared in Kamsa’s jail on Janmashtami day and His foster parents were Yashoda Devi and Nanda Maharaj. In reality, Sri Krishna is always present in the heart of conditioned souls and He reveals Himself to those who purify their heart by immersing in His devotional service through the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra under the shelter of Guru Parampara. This is the essence of celebrating Janmashtami, the appearance day of Supreme Lord Sri Krishna in our heart, who is our eternal Spiritual Master.
